A series of seminars studying the Chief Rabbi's internet essay, A Clash of Civilizations, held on Tuesdays 5.30 p.m., in Room A113 of the Arts Building, University of Manchester, Oxford Road.

The Centre for Jewish Studies is running a series of "Rabbinics Seminars", devoted to the study of the Chief Rabbi's "A Clash of Civilizations? Judaic Sources on Co-existence in a World of Difference", the document he placed on his web site earlier this year as his response to the controversy over certain passages in The Dignity of Difference.

You will need a copy of the Chief Rabbi's essay. You can download it yourself from: www.chiefrabbi.org/dd/A_clash_of_civilisations.pdfassuming you have Acrobat installed. If not, you can download Acrobat free from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/alternate.html
